Post 5: Changes to my Study Programme

The plan of my studies consists of theoretical and practical subjects, I have had drawing, painting, sculpture, history of art, and this changes as the course progresses. The workload is really heavy, and sometimes we didn't have enough time to do some work because of the academic overload. I have classes every day until very late and that made it very difficult for me because I live far away from the faculty, an hour and a half by public transport, and sometimes I had to carry a lot of materials for the university. The facilities of the university leave a lot to be desired, because the infrastructure is very basic, lacking materials and basic things that are needed in a workshop. The technology is very scarce, it is only used in some subjects, everything is more analogue, the most technological thing could be the photography workshop because they use cameras. The only thing I can rescue is the teaching that some of the teachers have, because there are some really good teachers who

Post 4: Time Travel to the Future

Image
For this blog I thought a lot about where I would like to go, and the truth is that I came to the same conclusion as you, I like to live in the present. But if I think about it I would like to travel to a future, to a place where people are calm and happy, where there is an ecological system that is self-sustaining, I would love this to be in the not so distant future. In this future I also imagine people being more aware of their surroundings, both with people and with the environment and animals. Imagining this future makes me want to be able to live it and enjoy it, because I love nature and animals, I hope to contribute something to a more natural and peaceful future, and if I get to live this future I would love to stay there forever hahaha.  I really feel sorry for the way the world is right now, there is a lot of selfishness and individualism, a lot of violence between us. I hope to be able to transform the present and make some changes so that I can live them now and with my fa

Post 3: My Dream Job

I've been involved in the world of art since I was little, I've drawn since I was a child and my mother encouraged me because she used to draw back then, she took me to see plays and to see exhibitions and museums. This influenced me the way I am now, and why I decided to study visual arts.  The truth is that I have never imagined myself working in an office, nor having a boss, I always thought of being my own boss, I hope I can explain myself, But lately I've realised, as I've been learning and discovering, that I like a versatile lifestyle and I don't want to be confined to just one thing, but that everything complements each other, because I like to explore all kinds of artistic techniques. Last year I explored restoration through a workshop I did and it fascinated me, in fact I would love to work in that in the future, restoring sculptures and paintings. Also something that interests me a lot is tattooing, I recently bought a machine and I've practiced a lot

Post 2: The Best Concert

Image
Today i'm going to share one of the best concerts i've ever been to (and i hope it's not the last one). On the 12th and 13th of november last year i went to the Primavera Sound Festival in the Bicentenario Park in cerrillos, this was the first time this festival was held here in Chile, because it's originally from Barcelona, Spain. I went on Saturday and Sunday, (it lasted three days) there I saw different artists performing, there were really several artists and different stages, some of the artists I went to see were Björk, Interpol, Travis Scott, Arctic Monkeys, and other more. I was very excited about this concert because I hadn't been to one for a long time. I had a great time because there were many artists that I wanted to see and also because I went with friends, I enjoyed it a lot, besides, the first day it rained a lot at night while I was waiting for the last artist and I ended up soaked because I didn't have a jacket or an umbrella, it was a nice exp

Post 1: A country I would like to visit

Image
I have always liked Amsterdam, it is a place I would love to go and see.  Amsterdam is characterised by its popular European aesthetics, nowadays it is a very cultural and artistic place. I find it fascinating to be able to travel the world and this destination is among my favourites not only because it is an art niche but also because of its particular climate, where the summer is mild and the winter is very cold (I am a winter person). There I would like to visit the iconic van gogh museum and the red light district. These are the most famous tourist attractions. I like amsterdam because I find it to be a magical and mysterious place, and at the same time a very peaceful place to relax. In the future I would like to live there, if I could I would go to study there right now, but first I would have to go on holiday to get to know better the place.
